BUFFY PROM
APRIL 4th & 5th 2025
Back in 2022 we took the Sunnydale Campus (aka Torrance High School, the filming location of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Sunnydale High) by storm with a two-night Buffy Prom that truly awed us all.
Now, in celebration of the release of our book (!!!) SLAYERS, EVERY ONE OF US, we are returning to the Hellmouth for another weekend of dancing, 90s snacks, and Buffy enthusiasm!!!
For those who want to join us for Buffy Prom Weekend but do not have the means to do so, low cost ($50) and no cost ($0) tickets are available. Simply fill out this form with your information and we will contact you with the code needed to access these tickets while they last!
Priority given to BIPOC, trans, and other marginalized Scoobs.
FRIDAY NIGHT • APRIL 4, 2025
Book Release Event for SLAYERS, EVERY ONE OF US
In Conversation with Joanna Robinson
7:30pm - 9pm | Torrance High Theater
VIP Doors 6:15pm / GA Doors 6:45pm
Join us in Torrance High School's state-of-the-art theater to celebrate the release of SLAYERS, EVERY ONE OF US. Moderated by our very own, and most beloved, Joanna Robinson, we will discuss SLAYERS — our memoir reflecting on the heartbreak, perseverance, and life lessons learned from Buffy the Vampire Slayer — and all that went into its creation.
All ticketholders will get a signed copy of SLAYERS four days before its official release on April 8, 2025.
(You'll find the entrance to the theater at the base of the stairway made famous during The Graduation Day Battle. No mayor snakes will be in attendance.)
SATURDAY NIGHT • APRIL 5, 2025
Buffy Prom at Sunnydale High
7pm - 10pm | Torrance High Courtyard | Doors 6:00pm
Time to dance to 90s music all night long!!! It is the official Buffy Prom and we will be gathering for the festivities outside — in case you missed it — IN THE COURTYARD BY THE ICONIC SUNNYDALE HIGH FOUNTAIN.
Jenny will play live Buffering songs with special surprise guests (with Kristin on glockenspiel, of course), we will take Prom portraits together, and we will dance to the 90s classics we all deserve. Perhaps, if we are lucky, our ensouled vampire boyfriend will come and join us in one last slow dance to "Wild Horses."
There will be 90s-themed snacks, Buffy-themed cupcakes, and two non-alcoholic bars serving refreshments — all included in the ticket cost.

There will be seating and some pretty incredible photo opportunities as well.
EVENT INFORMATION / FAQs:
CHECK IN / IDENTIFICATION: There will be two separate check in lines both nights; one for VIP ticket holders & folks with access needs and the second for GA ticket holders.
We know many of you have tickets registered under names that do not match your legal IDs — this is absolutely okay!! If the name on your ID does not match your preferred name / the name your tickets are under, email us and we will get you a landing page to show at the door for entry instead of needing to use an ID that doesn’t reflect who you are!
A NOTE ON THEATER SEATING (FRIDAY NIGHT): The Torrance Auditorium has theater seats with armrests on either side, and the seats are slightly smaller than standard theater seating because it is a high school auditorium.
There will be several areas in the auditorium designated/labeled as ACCESSIBLE SEATING and also marked off with blue tape — these seating areas are for folks with disabilities and also for folks who need more space to sit comfortably! If you need any additional assistance or have questions please email us at hello at bufferingcast dot com — and if you need assistance the day of the event please ask for Angie or Madai.
COVID Safety: All attendees will be sent a COVID/Wellness screening survey to self-monitor 24 hours before the event begins. Masks are encouraged at both events, and especially so when inside the theater on Friday evening. Sanitizing stations will be available throughout the event spaces, masks will be available at entry and merch for those who need one, and COVID rapid tests will also be available at the door for those who'd like to test but do not have access to testing.
PARKING: PARKING MAP IS FOUND HERE! If you have access needs we strongly recommend taking a rideshare service to be dropped off right in front, or to have your ride drop you off before parking, as it is a bit of a distance from the lot to the entrance. Please email hello@bufferingcast.com with any concerns or questions!
RESTROOMS: All restrooms at Torrance are ADA compliant. On Friday night, there will be an All Gender and a Women's restroom that are inside the theater itself. On Saturday night there will be one All Gender restroom inside the high school which is designated for folks with access needs (it is much closer to the courtyard) and there will be an All Gender and a Women’s restroom also on site. There will be wayfinding signs at the event to help you locate all three restrooms!
QUIET ROOM: On Saturday night, we will have a quiet room available for anyone whose brain needs a little break from all the action. Our listener, Allison - a brain injury survivor and advocate - is passionate about increasing accessibility for anyone with diverse neuro needs, and is setting this up for us. She will be available if anyone wants to chat more about quiet rooms, accessibility or brain health in general!
NO ALCOHOL: This event is on an actual high school campus so no alcohol is allowed. On Friday night there will be Culture Pop soda available at the entrance (thank you for your sponsorship, Culture Pop!), and if you have a water bottle with you you can fill it at the water fountain. On Saturday night we will have a N/A bar on the main level where refreshments will be served, and the VIP lounge will also have an N/A bar that will be serving refreshments as well as a custom mocktail.
SNACKS: 90s snacks (think fruit roll ups, Smartfood popcorn, Gushers, etc) will be available on Saturday night and we will have cupcakes (with vegan and GF options)! For the first time ever, we will also have a HOT COCOA BAR and YES THERE WILL BE MINI MARSHMALLOWS.
ATTIRE: Folks come in cosplay, folks come in prom wear, folks come in jeans and tees — the point is COME AS YOU ARE, wear what makes you feel great. One caveat: Saturday is an outdoor event and California evenings can get chilly! So check the weather and wear or bring something warm!
